Yes, the school shopping days are here. While you are taking advantage of the great sales, if possible, pick up a few extras for the Sunday School department. Items needed include glue sticks, construction paper, paper clips, staples, pencils, pens, scissors, crayons, markers, colored pencils, glitter, brass fasteners, envelops, paper plates, pipe cleaners, Popsicle sticks, scotch tape, masking tape, tissues, wet wipes, dry erase markers and cleaner. A box will be located in the fellowship hall and the entrance to the multi-purpose room to collect all donations. Your generosity is always greatly appreciated.

We are gearing up to kick-off our 2008-2009 Sunday School programs on August 24th. If you feel the calling to serve and help with this very important ministry, please let us know. New faces, ideas, and talents are always welcome. Due to the growing size of some our classes, we are in need of help with the preschool and kindergarten - 1st grade classes. Many thanks to the Tabernacle Family for making this year's VBS another wonderful adventure! The children spent the week under the canopy of the rainforest learning about sharing, giving, growing, loving and praising. They heard about stories of Ruth, Elisha, the parable of the mustard seed, Jesus is the vine, and Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. There was singing, dancing, mission offerings for Peru, games, crafts and snacks. It was a wonderful, exciting week. Thanks to all the volunteers for coming out and showing their love to the kids! Thanks to the whole Tabernacle family for their contributions and prayers. You all really help shine the light of God on the children of this community.

We're looking for 12 parents and 12 two-year olds to start our Toddler Co-op in September. Each Tuesday morning during the school year, the children will play, read, snack, make a craft and go outside at Tabernacle. Three parents supervise each week, the others have the morning off, and the schedule rotates each week. Interested? Curious? Come to our information meeting, Tuesday, June 10 at 10 am in Room 406 (end of the Sunday school hall). Or pick up a flyer in the nursery.
