Are you a qualified Van driver? The church office is looking for those people who have taken the Van Driver Certification Test and those who have a van driver certificate. Please call the office at 786-6162 or email church.secretary@tabumc.org. We need to update your records.

Prayers and Squares - Date Posted: 08/02/2008
by Camille MacGregor

Our Prayer Quilt Ministry combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. As each knot is tied, a silent prayer is said for someone in speacial need, who then receives the finished quilt. Please pray for the following people:

Cindy Falls - prayers for remission and healing.

Heather Kruispe - prayers to be healthy again.

Sgt Ben Jimma - prayers for strength and healing during his recovery process.

Joyce Higgins - prayers for healing from her surgery and hope for her recovery.

Christmas in July - Date Posted: 08/02/2008
By Pastor Steve

There is Hunger in Spotsylvania County, and in July we plan to help "the least of these" in our community with a "Christmas in July" themed food drive. All the food staples collected at Tabernacle will stay in the community. Items needed include:

Pork-n-beans * Peanut Butter * Kidney Beans * Butter Beans * Baked Beans * Spaghetti and Sauce * Cereal * Canned Veggies * Canned Fruit

Bring your canned food and other food staples to be placed by the altar in the sanctuary or on the wooden Christmas tree in the multi-purpose room.

Please bring in the "almost new" clothing and shoes for school age children that made it gently through the school year. Bins will be available in Fellowship Hall through July.
